Paint in the style of the Old Masters
Konstantin Korovin (1861-1939) was a prominent Russian Impressionist painter and stage designer. Born in Moscow, he was influenced early on by his artist brother Sergey and studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture under mentors like Alexei Savrasov. Korovin was known for his vibrant colors and capturing transient light effects. Beyond painting, he significantly contributed to stage design for the Moscow Art Theatre, especially for Chekhov’s plays. Facing challenges after the Russian Revolution, Korovin settled in Paris in 1923 and remained there until his death. Today, his artworks are celebrated worldwide as highlights of Russian Impressionism.
